Pick up/Christmas 2012

Tigers Jaw- "Two Worlds"- Run For Cover Records- Light Blue/400 (1st press)
Polar Bear Club- "Clash Battle Guilt Pride"- Bridge 9- Marbled Gray/Red/1000 (1st press)
Rocky Votolato- "Self-Titled"- Second Nature Recordings- Opaque Yellow/Solid Orange w/ Solid Red Splatter/270 (1st press)
Saves The Day- "In Reverie"- Dreamworks- Blacky vinyl/??? (SEALED, which I opened, DUH)
Quarters Volume Two Comp. 7" w/ The Casket Lottery, etc- Atarms Mechanics- Clear Blue/???

So heres what I got recently. Felt like getting some Polar Bear Club so I have picked up the two recently LPs for a solid price.

I am a very large fan of Rocky Votolato. For some reason I had completely neglected his very first self titled release. Don't even have it in Mp3 format, which I also could not find up for Download anywhere to preview! Saw this up and grabbed it for instore price. How cool the vinyl is was worth the gamble. Have to give it a few more spins.

The Quarters Volume 2 Comp 7" not only gives me the "collection" of having both 1 and 2 BUT IT COMPLETES MY CASKET LOTTERY COLLECTION! This is a HUGE deal! A perk is it also being on clear blue which was not in the auction title at all.

Lastly, this Christmas was a great one. My loving girl friend with the help of a friend resulted in my current possession of the largely saught after "In Reverie". I was taken back as I opened it not believing my own eyes as I read the spine before completely unwrapping it. A true shock and surprise that was not expected. It feels strange to own it. After chalking it up(with many others) to something you've already excepted you will probably just never own. What hurts most is i'm sure she paid a lot for it and for it to come in with a price sticker from Hot Topic on it which read "10.99" stings!

Saves The Day Pick Ups

One day I decided that I would like Saves The Day LPs. So, I went out and bought them!

1. Saves The Day- Daybreak- Razor & Tie- 180 gram Black/1000 (1st press)
2. Saves The Day- Stay What You Are- Vagrant/Cobraside- Clear Blue/300 2nd Press (Shop Radio Cast exclusive)
3. Saves The Day- Under The Boards- Vagrant/Cobraside- Clear Green/300
4. Saves The Day- Sound The Alarm- Vagrant/Cobraside- White/300 (VC Exclusive)

Now I guess you could say I had a streak of good luck? To be able to just decide, and easily GET these records just like that. It could be luck. Perhaps my taste in Saves The Day material isn't the most liked from anothers perspective? I'm not sure since there has to be some Saves The Day tunes for everyone, cause there is a lot of them.

It goes with out saying that "Daybreak" is the most current release and of course still available. Both 180 gram black first pressing AND second pressing on white(go pick it up if you haven't, I have been REALLY enjoying this release lately. Might be sliding into my second favorite of their entire catalog, In Reverie #1, DUH). So that one was an easy hit.

Shop Radio recently found some copies of "Stay What You Are" in the warehouse from the recent repressing of it. So I copped me one of those. Like "Daybreak" it was at your normal in store pricing. Ill accept that(like I had a choice anyway). I am not too crazy on pressing with this one, so I'm glad that I got to pick this one up with middle ground. Could have paid probably the same price for a first pressing on black(a little shocked to be honest) with the chance of paying too high OR paid a stupid price for one of the other variants of this repress, PASS. Pleased to have this classic.

Last but not least, I basically stole "Under The Boards" and "Sound The Alarm". Not too surprised since I can sort of feel that these 2 records aren't the most favored out of the catalog but with the prices I see people listing them for, I thought I was doomed to just not own them. The graces of someone was shined upon me and I picked these 2 up cheap and will love them tenderly.

Now all I need to do is find a copy of "in reverie" for not $60.

More scores to come!
