Manufacturing a Record
I found this video via Stuck In The Past blog. It documents the pressing process of Mouthpieces "Cant Kill Whats Inside". Was never a big Mouthpiece fan but I highlight this because it hits close to home for me since my occupation/career is similar to some parts of this video. I know too much about the Printing & Folding Section as well as the Assembly & packaging section and I'm sure a lot of people are probably really curious as to what goes into pressing a vinyl LP.
I wish they weren't pressing black and there was a little more about how whacky mix and marble colors are made.

The Greenery
This is a video for "Spit and Argue" from the Greenerys new record "Wasted Days".
Reason I post this, It was filmed at the Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke MA, a place I've gone to many of times for friends shows in the Western Mass area. My friend Matt is also the gentleman who starts all the ruckus, VERY like matt. Probably why they chose him to be in this video. Matts a real nice guy, unless you piss him off.
If you like gnarly pissed hardcore music, this may be a band for you.

My Friend Max
This is Max. He's a recent friend that I have made. Max is a real good guy and happens to also be a really talented good guy.
I've known that Max was a musician for a minute and that my friend Paul had recently been working with him as his "backing band" essentially under his moniker "Max Prussner". I just heard this song a few days ago and was really impressed on how good it was.
This is a music video that was made of the song "Tell Me Trouble". It features lots of cool new friends that I have made over the past year and sadly, If I had only met Max a little sooner I would have had the pleasure of being in this video with everyone else.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Bazan: Alone at the Microphone DVD
This is a really good Documentary on David Bazan. David Bazan is someone who I haven't followed so much as a solo artist. I own "Curse Your Branches" and it hasn't been spun as much as it probably should have. However if you did not know, David Bazan was the singer for a band I do listen to a lot and really enjoy called Pedro The Lion.
Its always opinion to say who is "amazing", "brilliant" and who also, "sucks" in music but I personally feel that David Bazan is an extremely talented song writer. So I am excited to watch this DVD for the interviews mostly but also to see my favorite Pedro The Lion songs performed since I never got a chance to see Pedro live when they were a band.

Heavy Petty
Now, I wouldn't even call myself a "Tom Petty Fan". To most, that might result in me being called an idiot but, I know the hits, I know Tom Petty. This song however, is completely fucking awesome! It's heavy, dirty, southern and it could not make me love it any more.
I heard it during a skateboard segment (one of many) that my friend Mark Choiniere does. I immediately recognized the voice and said "holy shit this Tom Petty song rules" and went to go find out what it was.
The only bad part of this is, is that I REALLY wanted my band to cover it. Since it ideally fits our sound more than anything possibly could have. Sadly this song is on Tom Petty and The Heart breakers newest Record called "Mojo". Which came out this year. I'm not too sure if you are aware of the "things you just don't do" list, most notably is wearing the bands shirt that you're going to see, etc. I feel covering a song, regardless of how old and timeless the artist is, that only came out the present year to just be poor decision making but boy do I wish that this song came out a decade earlier.
head bang.

Epic Snare.
I found this video randomly poking around on youtube. Its of the Mars Volta performing the song "Goliath" at some large festival. Not only is this song is one of my favorites but holy shit!
I'm not too familiar with Dave Elitch but the dude is shredding right here. That roll set at 1:07 dominates. His energy is top notch and listen to that snare! I have no idea what it is, it would appear to be aluminum but I'm not positive. Thing must be cranked!
I only say aluminum because its shell looks like this snare that C&C did for Derek Grant of Alkaline Trio.
